Coconut chutney

So why i chose to first write about coconut chutney....


1. the first time i tried only this came out very well
2. I have heard my mom say this is the easiest.. trust me guys this is really easy.
3. fresh coconut have a good medicinal value.. as a kid i used to suffer very frequently from mouth ulcer( vai punnu).. and i am one who hates eating tablets and drinking medicines.. so my mom told me to eat oru chillu coconut when ever she makes coconut chutney. she even used to make me to drink the coconut water.. trust me guys.. after some months i stopped getting mouth ulcer. great na.....

So how to do it???

ingredients:
coconut: half crown
red chillies: 5 or 6( depending on your ability to withstand the karam)
pottu kadalai: a handful
salt-as required

preparation:
take a mixie and put all the ingredients in it and add a little bit of water and start grinding it. If it is not grinding properly keep adding water. At one point all the ingredients will mix together and become soft. Stop grinding at this point. Now take a kadai/ small vessel. pour 1 tsp of oil, add mustard seeds, curry leaves and fry for a minute. switch off the stove and pour this ground chutney in it.

Suppose you want to take this chutney on a picnic ( it really tastes good with puliyodarai/lemon rice) but afraid it will get spoiled.. do not worry..

You guys remember the last step of preparation na... one slight modification in that... instead of just pouring the talichadhu on the ground chutney do it vice versa.. i.e.. keep the stove on.. pour the chutney in that vessel/kadai and start frying.. make sure they do not stick to the pan... keep frying and at one moment, u will see the chutney becoming a slight brown colour.... thats it.. switch off.. ur fried/not spoiling coconut chutney is ready

I just thought of creating this blog for those souls who
1. Know how to eat but do not know how to cook ( other than maggi noodles)
2. Did a love marriage and want to learn yours as well as their cuisine

If you guys are nodding your heads for any one of the above please do post your comments. I haven't actually become an expert in cooking as of now, but i am just writing the recipes which i have tried and it has come out best
